The Spitfire Grill - The Musical
Winner of the Richard Rodgers Award, The Spitfire Grill is a heartwarming and uplifting musical about starting over, finding family, and the healing power of community. Percy, a young woman fresh out of prison, arrives in the small town of Gilead, Wisconsin, seeking a fresh start. She lands a job at the Spitfire Grill, a rundown diner owned by the tough but weary Hannah.
This production differs significantly from the film with its focus on friendships and with a much more hopeful ending.

Langley National Day for Truth & Reconciliation
The community is invited to gather for the 6th Annual Langley National Day for Truth and Reconciliation event.
This evening’s program starts at 5:00pm and will feature the Red Hawk Drummers, Speakers and personal stories that encourage participants to deepen their understanding of Truth and Reconciliation while strengthening their ongoing commitment to this important journey. The Educational Story Walk will be available at Douglas Park starting at 4:00pm.

Ian Parker, piano with Brooklyn Wood, violin & Albert Seo, cello
Experience wonderful live music at the Langley Community Music School in Rose Gellert Hall.
Acclaimed for his expressive artistry and technical brilliance, Ian Parker takes audiences on a musical journey extending over centuries. The evening features Bach’s sparkling Toccata in D Major, Beethoven’s intimate Moonlight Sonata Op. 27, No. 1, Chopin’s poetic Ballade No. 4, and Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.
He will be joined by LCMS alumni violinist Brooklyn Wood and cellist Albert Seo to perform the dramatic Mendelssohn d minor piano trio.

Fall in Bloom: Pumpkin Bouquet Workshop at Everything Wine Langley
Join Everything Wine Langley for a cozy fall evening of flowers and creativity with The Frequency Farm! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create a beautiful fresh floral pumpkin arrangement featuring locally grown, seasonal blooms from The Frequency Farm. Brea will guide you step by step as you design your own unique autumn centerpiece to take home and enjoy.
No experience is needed, just come ready to sip, create, and enjoy a fun fall evening surrounded by flowers. All flowers, pumpkins, supplies, and instruction are included.

Canada’s Respect at Work Forum 2026: From Awareness to Accountability
This year’s theme, WHO PAYS THE PRICE?, examines the human and organizational cost of workplace bullying, harassment and retaliation.
The event, happening at Coworks by Elevate Langley, is free and brings together workers, employers, HR and legal professionals, researchers, advocates, safety practitioners and community members for a conversation about workplace culture, psychological safety and accountability.

Halloweener Dogs
Trick or treats for dogs in costume held every October on a Saturday at Uplands Dog Park! Halloweener Dogs is a community event where costumed canines can trick or treat with their owners and run away with tons of free goodies and toys! All for FREE! There is even a set decorated for photos of your dog and/or family.

Vinyl Plotting: Making Halloween Decals at Maker Cube
Vinyl plotting is a precise and versatile technique used to cut intricate designs from vinyl sheets. Learn to create your own designs, optimize your file for cutting, weed to remove excess vinyl and to reveal your design, and the basics of application for both Adhesive Vinyl and Heat Transfer processes.
Join Maker Cube for this Halloween-inspired class! Please note the minimum age for participants is 14. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian provide supervision during the class.

The bi-monthly speaker series at the Timms Community Centre with the Langley Arts Council offers people of all ages the opportunity to learn about and hear directly from the Langley Arts Council’s 2026 exhibiting artists featured in the Timms Community Centre Walkway Gallery.
